OUR MASTERS
 Swami Sivananda (1887 - 1963) The spiritual strength behind the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers, Swami Sivananda taught a synthesis of all the formal doctrines of Yoga. Author of more than three hundred books on Yoga and health, Swami Sivananda was a medical doctor before renouncing worldly life for the spiritual path. The essence of his teaching: serve, love, give, purify, meditate, realize.
 Swami Vishnudevananda (1927 – 1993) One of the main disciples of Swami Sivananda, he was sent by his Master to the West in 1957 where he founded the International Vedanta Yoga Centers in different countries of the Americas, Europe and Asia. He worked tirelessly to share the wisdom of yoga and his message of peace and unity with the world. Author of "The Book of Yoga", "Meditation and Mantras", "Karma and Reincarnation" and a review of Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
PROFESSORS
 Kanti Devi (Yoga Acharya) Director of the Sivananda Yoga Centers of South America, she has organized the international Teachers' Training Courses in South America since the 1986. A direct disciple of Swami Vishnudevananda, she is dedicated and charismatic, she takes the teachings of the Master to different countries of the world.
 Swami Premananda Trained at the Sivananda Centers in Uruguay, Canada and Spain. He is a student of yoga and its philosophy and is dedicated to devotional singing and music. He is the current director of the Sivananda Center in Buenos Aires and he is a professor of international courses taught in Argentina, Brazil and Spain.
Other professors from the Sivananda Centers of the Americas will participate along with professors of Atman Yoga (Medellín, Colombia).

Conditions
This is an intense course and it requires discipline. Thus all students should come with a true desire for knowledge and be willing to respect the rules for the practice of yoga and community living. Having some previous experience with yoga postures is useful but not required. All meals are lacto-vegetarian, in following with Sivananda Ashrams across the world. The practice and teaching of yoga require self-discipline and purity. These are the basis for the rules at the Ashram, mainly the following: - Meat, fish, eggs, garlic, onions, coffee, tea, alcohol, tobacco and drugs are strictly prohibited. - Attendance to all courses and lectures is mandatory. - All professor instructions must be followed. - Respect all rules of community living.
What to bring
Required readings: “The Complete Illustrated Book of Yoga” by Swami Vishnudevananda, “The New Book of Yoga” (optional “Yoga Mind & Body”) and “Bhagavad Gita” with a commentary by Swami Sivananda.
Other: Asana mat, meditation cushion, towel and toiletries, notebook, pen, warm clothing, comfortable walking shoes, alarm clock, sunscreen and insect repellent.

Rooms will be assigned based on the order of registration, with the best spots going to the first to register.
The cost includes instruction, a course manual, two pairs of yoga pants and two t-shirts, hosting, two meals, a snack and administrative costs.
NOTE
Payment must be made in full by May 15, 2012. There are no refunds, but credit will be issued for full payment (minus the US$300 initial deposit, which is non-refundable). This credit can be used for other courses at any Sivananda center or ashram within one year. The course will be given in Spanish with simultaneous translation into English.

Registration
The registration form can be requested by phone, fax or e-mail. To register, please send in the registration form (filled in on both sides and signed), a personal photo and a registration fee of US$300 which will be applied to the total cost. The registration fee is not refundable. Payment of the fee reserves a place in the course but in order to get the promotional price, the full cost of the course must be paid in full by April 30, 2012.
